How Inventory Sync Works

Each product in Analision has an Inventory Sync toggle. When enabled:

  1. Analision reads the current stock for that product
  2. It pushes the quantity to all associated listings across all connected stores
  3. Every time the stock changes (sale, adjustment, purchase receiving), the update goes out automatically
Stock Status Fields Explained

On the product detail and inventory screens, you'll see several stock-related fields. Here's what each one means:

Example: A product shows 2 units On Hand, but 1 is reserved for an open order. Available = 1. Analision will push "1" to your storefronts, not "2."

Manually Updating Stock

You can update stock directly from the Product Detail screen without creating a purchase order:

  1. Open the product you want to adjust
  2. Click into the stock quantity field
  3. Enter the new value and save

This creates a Stock Update transaction in the product's history log so you always have a record of who changed what and when.

Viewing Stock Movements (Transaction History)

Every change to a product's stock is recorded. To see the full history:

  1. Open the product detail
  2. Click Transaction Details

You'll see a log of every movement, including:

Troubleshooting: Inventory Not Updating on a Marketplace

If your stock isn't updating on one of your stores (e.g., Etsy shows the wrong quantity), the most common cause is a credential failure.

Steps to investigate:

  1. Go to Stores and check the status of the affected store
  2. Look for any error indicators — a store with expired credentials may appear passive or show a sync error
  3. Re-enter your store credentials and save
  4. Verify the next sync run updates the listing correctly

Note: In-app alerts for failed syncs are not yet available to users. The Analision team receives backend notifications when jobs fail and can assist if you report the issue.

Reserve vs. Available: A Common Scenario

Imagine this situation:

Analision will place a 1-unit Order Reserve on that product. Your Available drops to 1, and your storefronts are updated to reflect 1 unit available — even before you've physically touched the inventory. This prevents overselling.

Once the order is picked, packed, and labeled, the reserve is cleared and the On Hand quantity is reduced accordingly.
