Each row represents a fulfilled transaction — a product that was shipped to a customer. The columns show:
Analision uses a weighted average cost method to track your unit cost over time. Here's how it works:
This means the "Unit Cost" column in Profit Analytics reflects your blended cost at the time the sale happened — not a fixed price you set manually. As your purchase prices change, the average updates automatically.
Why this matters: If you bought inventory months ago at a lower price and your costs have since increased, you'll see the cost change reflected in your transactions over time. This helps you spot when rising purchase costs are starting to erode margins.
Currently, the Profit Analytics screen shows Sale Price, Unit Cost, and Shipping Cost. To calculate profit for a transaction:
Profit = Sale Price − Unit Cost − Shipping Cost
Example:
Coming soon: A dedicated Profit column is planned that will calculate and display this automatically for every transaction, eliminating the need for manual calculation or exporting to Excel.
The Profit Analytics screen makes it easy to identify transactions where you sold at a loss:
Example from the platform: A product sold for $27.99 with a unit cost of $16.61 and a shipping cost of ~$14.00 — total cost $30.61 — meaning that particular sale was sold at a loss of ~$2.62. This is exactly the kind of insight Profit Analytics is built to surface.
You can export all transaction data using the Export All Data button. This is useful if you want to:
The current Profit Analytics view includes unit cost and shipping cost. Advertising spend (e.g., Amazon PPC, sponsored ads) is not yet factored into the profit calculation — meaning the profit figures shown are gross profit before ad spend.
Advertising cost integration is on the Analision roadmap. Once available, you'll be able to see true net profit per transaction inclusive of ad spend, giving you a complete picture of each product's performance.
